Cancellations will be processed immediately. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR REMAINING DAYS OF THE MONTH.
All persons seeking membership at Family Fitness and affiliates are required to disclose any significant or material health condition that might adversely affect the applicants general health, wellness, or welfare.
Required disclosure includes, but is not limited to disease or disorders of the cardiovascular system, conditions involving high or low blood pressure, hypertension, stroke, heart attack, acute angina, aneurysm, arrhythmia, diabetes, and disorders of the endocrine of muscular-skeletal systems. Any surgical procedure occurring within the previous 12 months must be disclosed, including any prescribed physical or therapeutic requirements or limitations imposed by the applicant's physician.
If there is any doubt or concern regarding the applicant's ability to safely use the equipment and services provided by the company, the applicant should seek a medical review and consultation with a physician prior to applying for membership. A previous or present health condition could prevent the applicant from benefiting from the program and services offered by Family Fitness and affiliates and put the applicant at risk for more serious health complecations, related injuries, disability, or long-term health problems. Applicants are urged to secure a physician's approval of personal health and wellness plans. Family Fitness and affiliates reserves the right to decline membership to any person based on any medical fact, finding or opinion disclosed.
Family Fitness and affiliates, its partners, employees, associates, agents, consultants, technicians, independent contractors, and other vendors shall be fully and totally indemnified and held harmless by the applicant against any and all claims arising from the use of its facilities or the applicants physical condition.
1. This is a MEMBERS ONLY GYM. Non-members are NOT ALLOWED. If a non-member would like to purchase a day pass they need to go to familyfitnessgbc.com to do so. (all day passes will expire at MIDNIGHT the day of purchase). Allowing a NON-MEMBER to enter with you without purchasing a day pass will result in your account being charged a 250.00 fee NO EXCEPTIONS & could terminate your membership.
ATTENTION MEMBERS you must enter the gym with the key fob or barcode that was assigned to you. If you come in with another person without scanning your fob or barcode or using someone else's code, their account will be charged $250.00. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. If your key or barcode isn't working please go to the mobile app to manage your account. If you need help with this, please contact the office.
2. Under no circumstances is anyone allowed in the office area.
3. You must place dumbbells back on the racks (in order) when you're done using them. No weights are allowed to be left on the floor
4. You must RACK YOUR WEIGHTS when you are done using them. After you are done with the machine, be considerate of the next person, and put them back on the racks where they belong.
5. Be considerate and wipe down all cushions on the machines & benches immediately after using
6. Tobacco, alcohol and vaping are NOT PERMITTED inside the fitness center.
7. Shirts & closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times. NO MUDDY SHOES ALLOWED. $25 cleanup fee
8. This is a family gym. Please refrain from using profanity and behaving in a manner not appropriate for a fitness center. IF ANY MEMBER IS VIOLATING ANY OF THESE POLICIES, THEIR MEMBERSHIP CAN AND WILL BE CANCELED.
PARENTAL AWARENESS AGREEMENT - Concerning the welfare of children inside the facility.
1. CHILDREN CANNOT BE ON THE MACHINES. For their own safety and the safety of other members, children are not allowed on any equipment. This includes benches, machines, using weights, weight scales, etc.
2. CHILDREN NEED TO REMAIN IN THE LOUNGE AREA. Children are not allowed to be running through the gym. Children are not allowed to walk or run between machines.
3. Drinks (In signing this agreement, parents agree to the following terms set forth by Family Fitness & affiliates covered containers, preferably spill proof) are allowed inside the lounge area as long as it is cleaned up and not left in the area. Use trash cans to throw away trash. We reserve the right to take this privilege away without notice. We ask that you have you or your children STRAIGHTEN THE AREA BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
9. Memberships are NOT transferable for any reason. If you had an account with us previously, you are liable for all past due amounts and must pay the remaining balance before new signup. Failure to do so will result in lockout of your active membership.
10. Your membership can be revoked but not limited to such reasons: Disparaging remarks about the gyms or staff on social media or any other form of media,or mistreatment of any gym property.
YOU AGREE, AS PARENTS, TO NOT HOLD FAMILY FITNESS AND AFFILIATES AND/OR ITS AGENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURIES THAT COULD OCCUR.
Family Fitness Gym: No Pets Allowed Policy
Purpose
To maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all members, guests, and staff by prohibiting animals inside the facility except for service animals.
Scope
This policy applies to all individuals on Family Fitness gym premises, including but not limited to:
Members
Guests
Temporary visitors
Contractors and vendors
All locations of Family Fitness gym
Policy Statement
Family Fitness gym prohibits the entry of all animals or pets inside the facility, with the following exceptions:
Service animals** trained to perform a task for a person with a disability (e.g., guide dogs, mobility assistance, hearing assistance). The animal must be under the control of its handler at all times.
Emotional support animals* or *therapy animals** are not permitted in the facility as a general rule, unless required and approved under applicable laws and circumstances (see Compliance section).
Definitions
Service Animal**: An animal that is individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability.
Pet**: Any animal kept for companionship or enjoyment, excluding service animals.
Handler**: The person responsible for the control and care of a service animal.
Procedures
1. Entrance and Verification
All patrons, guests, and contractors must comply with this policy upon entry.
If a patron indicates they are accompanied by a service animal:
Do not pet, feed, or distract the animal.
Allow the service animal to accompany the handler in all areas accessible to the public where the handler is allowed.
The animal should be leashed, harnessed, or otherwise under control unless these devices interfere with the task the service animal is trained to perform.
If a patron requests to bring a non-service animal:
Inform them that pets are not allowed inside the facility.
If the animal is a service animal, request appropriate documentation only if legally permissible and necessary to verify the service animal’s status (see Compliance section).
2. In- facility Conduct
Pets are not permitted in any area, including:
Main gym floor
Locker rooms and restrooms
Group fitness studios
Sauna
Waiting areas and common spaces
Service animals may accompany the handler into all areas where the public is normally allowed, with the exception of:
Areas where health or safety regulations require restricted access (e.g., sterile environments, certain medical treatment areas) as defined by local regulations.
3. Hygiene and Safety
If a service animal presents a health or safety concern (e.g., aggression, illness, unsanitary condition), staff may request that the handler remove the animal from the facility and/or modify access as allowed by law.
Staff should avoid touching or feeding any service animal without the handler’s explicit permission.
4. Exceptions and Accommodations
The gym will provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities in compliance with applicable laws (e.g., ADA). If there is a barrier to accessibility due to a service animal, staff should contact management or the designated compliance officer.
Compliance
This policy aligns with applicable local, state/procedural laws regarding service animals in public places.
Any disputes or questions regarding service animal status should be directed to the Gym Manager or Compliance Officer.
Violations of this policy by patrons can result in removal from the premises and potential membership consequences, following the gym’s Code of Conduct.
Family Fitness Gym Policy: Late Fee for Past-Due Memberships
Payment Due Date:** Memberships are due on the first of every month.
Late Fee:**
-A flat late fee of $5.00 will be charged to any membership that is past due.
Access to Facilities:**
- Members with an active, current membership are eligible to access the gym.
- Past-due accounts will have no access to the facility.
Reinstatement:**
- Once the past-due balance (including the $5 late fee) is paid in full, normal membership access will be reinstated according to standard policy.
Historical Records:**
- Past-due and late-fee events will be recorded in the member’s account for auditing and financial tracking.
Gym Improvement Initiative – Family Fitness GBC
These Terms and Conditions govern the Gym Improvement Initiative at Family Fitness GBC. By enrolling as a member or renewing membership, you agree to these terms.
Purpose
The Initiative aims to upgrade and improve equipment and facilities at Family Fitness GBC to enhance member safety, quality of service, and overall fitness experience.
Scope of Improvements
Equipment Upgrades: Addition of new free weight and cable machine equipment, replacement of aging machines and free weights, and addition of new cardio equipment.
Facility Enhancements: Renovation of sauna, lounge area, and enhanced locker rooms.
All upgrades are subject to availability and may be adjusted at the Club’s sole discretion for safety, compliance, or operational reasons.
Financial Provisions
Funding: The improvements are funded by the Club to cover equipment and facility upgrades, maintenance contracts, and related safety enhancements.
Ongoing Charge: Members agree to a quarterly charge of $20 (USD) to support ongoing maintenance and future upgrades associated with the Initiative.
Billing: The quarterly charge will be billed in accordance with the Club’s standard billing practices and appears on the member’s regular statement. Payment terms are as set forth in the member’s contract.
Changes to Fees: The Club reserves the right to modify the quarterly charge with prior notice in accordance with the Club’s billing policies.
Effective Date and Duration
Effective Date: The Initiative charges commence on the billing cycle following member enrollment in the Initiative or upon renewal, whichever occurs first, and continue until the term of the current membership agreement ends, unless otherwise terminated or amended in accordance with these Terms.
Termination of Charges: The quarterly charge may be terminated only in accordance with the Club’s standard cancellation or modification procedures and applicable laws.
Member Obligations
Acceptance: By continuing membership, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and agree to the quarterly charge.
Cooperation: Members agree to cooperate with the Club regarding maintenance windows, equipment trials, and any safety or orientation sessions related to new equipment or facilities.
Feedback: Members may be invited to provide feedback; participation is voluntary.
Access and Disruptions
The Club will strive to minimize disruption during renovations but may schedule temporary closures or altered hours as needed. Members will receive advance notice where reasonably practicable.
Access during upgrades may be limited to specific areas or equipment; members must follow posted signage and staff instructions.
Safety and Compliance
All upgrades comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards. Members must use equipment as instructed and follow all safety guidelines.
Data and Privacy
Any data collected in connection with the Initiative (e.g., participation feedback, surveys) will be handled in accordance with the Club’s privacy policy.
Changes to Terms
The Club may amend these Terms from time to time. Members will be notified in writing of material changes and may have rights to terminate the Agreement under the Club’s termination policies.
Termination
Either party may terminate the membership under the terms of the membership agreement. The quarterly charge may continue until the end of the current billing period unless the membership is terminated in accordance with the Club’s policies.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Club operates, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the Initiative between the member and the Club and supersede all prior understandings or agreements, whether written or oral, concerning the Initiative.
